WHAT IS A CERTIFIED TRANSLATION?

A clear, professional certification for official documents.

In the UK, there is no single statutory system of “sworn translators” for all documents. A certified translation will usually include a signed statement confirming that the translation is a true and accurate translation of the original, together with the date and the relevant translator or translation-company details.

Requirements can differ depending on where the document will be submitted, so we recommend telling us the receiving authority when you request a quote.

Important

Certification requirements can vary between courts, government departments, embassies, universities and other organisations. Some authorities may ask for additional notarisation, an affidavit or legalisation.
